A Cavapoo (aka Cavoodle or Cavadoodle) is a mix of a miniature Poodle (or toy Poodle) and a purebred Cavalier King Charles Spaniel. Cavapoo puppies are wonderful with children, they seldom meet a stranger and love being with people. Cavapoos are some of the most calm of all Doodle varieties. They seldom bark, and they love to cuddle.

If you’re considering adding a Cavapoo to your family, it’s important to understand their unique traits and personalities. In this article, we’ll dive into the key characteristics of Cavapoos and what makes them such a lovable companion.

APPEARANCE

One of the first things you’ll notice about Cavapoos is their charming appearance. Their soft, wavy coats can come in a variety of colors including golden, red, black, white, and tricolor. Their adorable floppy ears and expressive eyes make them hard to resist. Their sweet teddy bear faces make them a very desired breed in the doodle world.

Cavapoos are considered a small breed, typically weighing between 10-18lbs  pounds and standing at 9-14 inches tall. They have a sturdy, blocky build with a compact body, making them great for apartment living or smaller homes. They are very loyala and great with children.

TRAINING

Cavapoos are intelligent dogs that are eager to please, making training a relatively easy task. Positive reinforcement methods work best with this breed, as they respond well to praise and treats.

In terms of exercise, Cavapoos can adapt to various activity levels depending on their owner’s lifestyle. A daily walk and some playtime in the backyard are usually enough to keep these dogs happy and healthy.

However, it’s important not to over-exercise Cavapoos, as they can be prone to joint issues due to their small size.
